If the electron of a hydrogen atom transitions from energy level n=5 to n=3, which level corresponds to n1 and which level corresponds to n2 in the Rydberg equation?

    As per Rydberg's equation:-
    (1/L) = (1.1*10^7)*[(1/(n1)^2) - (1/(n2)^2)] ; where L = wavelength ; (1.1*10^7) = Rydberg's constant ; n1 = final energy level = 3 and n2 = initial energy level = 5
