It can vary from provider to provider. Easiest way would be to call several doctors' offices and just ask. Keep in mind, however, that if you are using it because of sexual activity, having regular exams are an important part of your reproductive health.

We don't know where you live. I would call the nearest Planned Parenthood in your phonebook, or walk in clinic.

WHy are you so determined NOT to get a pelvic exam. Women can and do get Cervical and uteran cancer at very young ages... do you not care about that? Early detection is critical for survivability...

Joy, with all due respect, that article is 4 years old and great strides have been made since then. Certain cancers are estrogen receptive. This means that birth control can increase cancer risks. Most birth control contain estrogen, therefore PAP smears are necessary. While it was once required yearly, pelvic exams are now required every two to three years.

No, I admit I didn't. I'll try to however. Been struggling with a computer problem the last few days that is baffling me.

Some of the Obamacare crowd today claim women don't need mamograms annually or past 50, same with pap smears... I've personally known women MUCH younger that would have been dead if those protocols were followed because they had cancer detected at MUCH younger ages. And most were cuaght early enough they survived.

As you know Smoothy, I am one of those who is still alive 17 years after cancer detection.

And you are only one of those... though to be honest... I don't know the story behind how yours was detected.
