I have a front entry ceiling light that turns on and shuts off after 10 seconds or so.. than it picks and chooses when it wants to turn on. Any ideas as to what the problem is?

My house was recently rewired and everything else seems to be working just fine.

I'd get that electrician back out there, because everythign isn't fine... if its tuning itself on and off... its a bad connection... that means arcing when it comes on and goes off both... electrical arc generate significant heat, if it does it often enough it might cause a fire.

I agree with smoothy, this sounds like a loose connection. It won't get better!

Is this light on a motion sensor?

It is not a sensor light. It is controlled by a switch. When it did work, I would a switch it on and than it would turn off and now it doesn't even turn on regardless.

Remove the switch and see if it has been wired using the "quick connect " holes in the back.
