I have Maytag one year old MIM555YRS2 works good but has started turning off I have to push on switch about every 5 or 6 hours, then starts working fine for few hours could this be control panel?

Not likely. You have a thermostat in most ice makers that has a bulb to sense when the bin is full. Look at that because something is tricking it to shut off the ice maker. There are other ways that ice makers tell if the bin is full. Look for the device that does this. Also, make certain that the coils are very clean. That is another reason it can shut off.

Thanks I think that is problem because it stayed on all day, the coils are very clean I keep check on that
