4 partners own an LLC. They all agree to buyout partners A's 25% stake for $50K. The 3 remaining partners (B,C&D) now have a 33.33% stake in the LLC. Can someone please help me with the JE's for this transaction?

How do I account for transferring A's Equity to B,C&D?

When the transaction takes place which I assume is a payment by A to B.C and D you will divide the balance of any equity account with A and transfer one third to each of B, C and D therebt reducing the equity of A to zero. you will also amend the issued capital records to reflect the new ownership
