2001 honda civic. I changed the battery and the starter and still won't start or turnover. The battery cables are fine and I can push start it and it runs fine but it will not start with the key.

Check all under hood and under dash fuses with a test light or multi-meter. Also, check the starter cut relay, located along the left kick panel, and the clutch interlock switch. If the problem persists, check the ignition switch for wear, pitting, or melting.
