I would like to run the electrical for a new ceiling light fixture from an existing ceiling fan. Because of the location of the new light, I can not install a traditional on/off switch. So, the ceiling fan switch will also control the light fixture. I would like to know if there is any other type of devise/switch that I could install that would allow me to turn the light on/off/dim independent of the fan switch. Ideally it would be some sort of remote control devise that could turn the light on/off and dim the lights? Can anyone help me? THANKS!
