Dog weights are an estimate. Also, like children, some dogs don't grow as quickly as others.

At 3 1/2 months your dog still has a lot of growing to do, and her weight now shouldn't be a concern unless she's severely underweight and not gaining.

Since she is gaining, I wouldn't worry. Dogs go through growth spurts, and your pup, at 3 1/2 months, will likely go through on very soon. She'll be full grown at around a year of age. At that time you can compare her weight with other full grown GSD's.

In other words, if the vet isn't worried, I wouldn't worry. :)

She does, however, sound like she'll be small for her breed.

Female GSDs are smaller then males anyway. Unless it is a King Sheppard.
