How do I start a small moving business?

Across country, or local. Have you ever worked in the moving business.

You will have to have either family or employees since one person can not move everything, you will need of course a truck large enough to move people. You will need liabiltiy insurance of coure in case you break that 10,000 art work. You will need workers comp insurance if you have any workers, and in many places special business license and permits.
There are a lot of DOT laws that will vary from state to state, and if you do any moving across state lines, you run into a lot more DOT laws and permits.

To start with you need to sit down and do a business plan exactly what you are going to do, and more. Check with help from the Small Business Admin as to help with a business plan.

How do I start a moving and storage company? I have been moving for 12 years but never got into the business part of the business.
