What happens if you are caught driving a car that doesn't have ignition interlock
I live in Ontario, Canada, and my ex boyfriend (with whom I have a child with), has been driving his mothers truck while his license states that he needs an ignition interlock, also known as a Breathalyzer. My number one main concern is that he has been driving with our young child who is 8 months old, and I know this because I have seen him drop her off at his mothers house, he was by himself, and he was the driver. I also asked his mother if he could drive now, and she said no. I'm so appalled that they are both putting my daughter in such a situation. It's my understanding that when caught driving he could get the vehicle impounded. Is this accurate? I'm unsure of how I should go about this, he has her again tomorrow and I am worried he will just repeat this behavior until he eventually is caught. I also live in a very small town, which makes it even worst. What would anyone else do in my situation? I was thinking to call the police, but I doubt that it would stop him from driving. I also would talk to his mother, but she lies to me about everything. What should I do? It's extremely frustrating, and sometimes I wonder if I'm being dramatic about this, but this is my daughter that he's involving in his ignorance. I'm not out to ''get him'', I want my daughter to be safe!
