A shipping company damaged my vehicle while shipping it, then gave me the company insurance information. The insurance adjuster said the vehicle is going to be totaled and she will no pay the actual cash value or replace my vehicle with exact type, unless I told her how much I bought the vehicle for and send her the receipt.

They will give you book value on the car with any adjustments they may add.

And why wouldn't you provide that info? Sounds like a reasonable request to me.

So? What is the problem with showing them a receipt and paperwork proving how much you paid for the vehicle? If this is on the level and you aren't trying to profit from it, it shoud be simple for you to do. There is always paperwork involved on a vehicle sale.
