John Deere GT 225 will not crank/start
    Hello all,
I have a 2001 John Deere GT 225, never had any problems with it, been mowing all season just fine. I hop on to start it up, and the starter/flywheel caught for about one millisecond and then stopped, no noise nothing.
I Checked the battery voltage :+/- 13 volts.
Checked the 15 Amp fuses on the circuit board, both are good (double check them with continuity test).
Checked the voltage at the starter 12V, but when I try to turn it over with the brake safety engaged, the voltage drops and I hear a high pitched buzzing/whining sound from the circuit board area .
    Any ideas would be appreciated.

    Thanks.

    Hi,
That circuit board is part of the ignition switch circuits and connects to the switch. It contains a number of relays; one of which or more are blown Should never make any appreciable noise though you should be able to feel the relays engage softly by touch if you put a finger on the rectangular casing (yes, they are those small rectangulr boxes on the board, two of them, I believe.) It is called in ignition module and is replaced as a unit, switch and board and is part #AM132500.
    Peace,
    Clarke
