My fiancée daughter wants to give us full custody of her 2 year old son.. can we just go to the court house and get papers and her file them.. the child has been living with me.. and a month ago child service placed him with me..

Since that was the case, talk to the caseworker. It may be that the placement was all that was needed. If you want to make it more formal, you can go to court to have a court award you custody. But I would wait until you are married first.

What about the father? Will he fight custody?
