    Basement plumbing
This house was built in 1996. I do not know the details and do not have any blue print. I am in the process of putting in a bath and toilet in the basement. There are 5 pvc pipes one with 2" (in a small pit duck taped) 2" pvc from wall about three inches, 3" pvc from wall about 15" 4" pvc from wall about 16" and 2" pvc sticking out from the ceiling about 5 inches.

It appears like it is a rough-in for future bathroom. It would be great if you could snap a photo of it and post it for so we can positively ID each pipe. Your description is a bit confusing so a photo would be a great help.

In the interim, the 2" pipe in the ceiling is a vent that will vent all plumbing fixtures in that bathroom. The 4" pipe or the 3" pipe in the floor is for toilet ( not sure why you have both 3" and 4" pipes there ). The 2" pipe should be for sink. The last 2" pipe in the floor( pit ) should be for tub or shower.

    Back to you

Milo did a great job of sorting things out. Here's a typical bathroom rough in if it helps. Good luck on tour project, Tom
