Live in Jersey work in NYC, Double taxed?
    Hi

I Need to know what happens as far as taxes go when you live in New Jersey and work in New York City. Are you double taxed?? Help I'm so confused!

    Thanks

No. Must file Ny tax return for earnings attributable to NY. You must file NJ tax return wherein a credit is taken for taxes paid to NY. As such you are not double-taxed..
