Married, living in NC refinancing in only husbands name.
We are refinancing soon. My husband qualifies for the loan on his own without adding me to the mortgage. We have been married a long time and have a mortgage with both of us on it with BOA. Now I will not be on the mortgage and to have me not be upset, the broker said i can be on the Deed.
I still am unsettled with this ...............I feel I should not do this. Any advice?

Actually, it is better for you. What matters is being on the deed. Being on the mortgage obligates you to pay the loan. As long as you are on the deed you own a share of the property. However it is unusual for a lender to issue a mortgage without all the owners signed on the mortgage.

I agree, being on the deed, is what you want. It does not matter I you are on the loan or not.

But,. if it does not feel right and you are not happy about it, don't.
