Hi my name is emmalee and I am 17 years old, I have been on the depo shot for a year now.. Recently I'm the past 5 days I have been bleeding as if I had a normal period which isn't supposed to occur while on the shot. I had another appointment today and I asked my doctor why I was bleeding and he said that the shot must have not stayed in my system for the full 3 months and that I ovulated. But the problem is I had unprotected sex with my before during ovulation which was 2 weeks ago (I did let him c*m in me). The doctor thinks it's an ovarian cyst. I've been completely bloated an feel nauseous after I eat. Is there any chance that I could be pregnant? I just don't think I could bleed this much if I am pregnant.

Pregnancy can happen even when on depo injections. Depo is also notorious for causing irregular bleeding as well. When was your last injection?

You could always go back to your doctor and ask for a blood test to rule out pregnancy.
