OK I want a pomerian cross zu my mom said no because they r 2 expensive and my dad just dusnt care and me and my sister have been wanting 1 for about 4 months now does anyone no where I can get a small girl 1 that isn't to expensive all the 1s we have seen are $550 which is to expensive... please HELP!

To be blunt -- why the heck would anyone pay for a dog? When you pay for a dog [or cat] you are basically ignoring all the lovable puppies [and OK kittens] at the pound.
Many paid for puppies are bred under piss poor conditions and have poor generic back grounds also if bought from lower end pet shops.

I'm not sure where you live, but petfinder has lots of puppies that desperately need a home. You can identify the breed and find a variety of mixed breeds that might be similar to what you are looking for, while saving a homeless animal. Like the others said, you should adopt. It would be a good thing to do. Besides, trying to find a cheap puppy from a breeder could be dangerous. The people who know what they're doing are the people who charge more money. Don't try and get a puppy from a bad breeder. Get a puppy from the pound that is healthy.

There are no cheap puppies. The free to a good home ones are very expensive. My local shelter has a great deal. For $70 you get a puppy plus a spay neuter voucher. If you are looking for a specific cross, Teachnk's link to Petfinders is a good bet. Another good source are breed specific rescues. These are dogs that lost their home, but were taken into a foster home to be retrained as necessary and placed in the right home for them. You may find a rescue near you starting at American Kennel Club - Breed Rescue dog dogs puppy puppies The rescues charge a fee to help cover their expenses, but is much less than the price of a puppy plus all its medical expenses the first year. Both the Pom and Zu rescues will have the cross you are looking for. You may end up with what was an expensive designer puppy that the original owner couldn't cope with it. Some loving, knowledgeable person took it into their home and carefully trained it to be successfully placed in a new home. It is far less costly in both dollars and tears to be the second owner than the first. Many of the ''designer breeders'' have a cash register for a heart and are ripping people off with expensive, low quality dogs. Don't be the next victim.
While I am all for adopting pound animals, I just want to point out that it's not free. Here in Austin, it's $75, and I've seen costs up to around $150 in California. And rescue groups can be pretty high in what they charge to recover fees. I'm looking into adopting a greyhound, and it's going to run me almost $200. So you are still going to pay, it's just going to be less.Quote:

Consider all of this before you get a dog. Food, vet, toys will all cost you money, and the first two you can't do without. Can you afford to take care of the dog, beyond the initial cost of acquiring it? If not, I'd suggest putting off getting one until you can figure out how you are going to cover all those costs.
And finally, for pinkmist in specific, if your parents are saying that you can't have a dog, you are just going to have to live with that decision until you are out on your own paying your own bills. You may want the dog, but it's your parents who are going to be legally responsible for it. And if they have decided that they cannot take on this responsibility at this time, you need to respect their decision.
Sorry -- its been awhile since I've been to the pound -- most dogs I get now have been abandoned. One thing about living in the country is people have the tendency to think we a puppy/kitten drop off points. Any time I see my dog looking up a tree I go look for kittens. -- SavageQuote:

ALL DOGS ARE EXPENSIVE! It doesn't matter if you receive the dog for free or if you pay top price for a showroom breed, they are all expensive, you have to pay for the food the vet bills the de-wormer and de-flea medication can cost up to $200 a year.
There are a lot of toy breeds out there who are need of a home, I would go to your nearest shelter and if you have your heart set on a certain kind than put your name on a wait list at the shelter.

Jessy, if you did a search on ''spelling'', likely you would find several threads under member discussions where others agree with you on that point.
Likely your red box turned green because somebody made a positive comment about one of your answers. If you go to the bottom of the page and click on FAQ and Rules you should find a explanation of how it works, or at least should. I hope everybody realizes the number of green boxes has nothing to do with the reliability of the members answers. In many cases you are better off taking the advice of the one with fewer green boxes.

I get the feeling your parents are not happy with the aspect of having a dog in the house,
Otherwise surely they would go out and buy one!
Dogs are not just the price you pay for them they need to be looked after as well food , vet bills etc all add up.
I take it yourself and your sister still live under your parents roof and if that is the case you should be respecting their view point as lets be honest who will home looking after the dog when you are out clubbing , whose furniture is it going to destroy while it is training? Do not think that if you just turn up at home with a dog that mum & dad will let you keep it.
You and your sister will soon get fed up with cleaning up after a puppy and like I said before if mum wanted that responsibility she would already have a dog.
