Changing the fasco draft inducer motor and housing on my furnace. There is a sensor with two contacts pressed into the housing. I am hoping I can pry it free from press fit and re attach on new unit. What is the sensor for?

What is the model number? Your probably looking at the pressure switch. You should be able to remove the screws and take it off.
