Don't really have one because I don't really read books... and also in English we only read "twelfth night" by shakespear...
So I don't really have one...

Treasure Island - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

    Long John Silver?

Pirates and buccaneers usually had long hair, a good role for a girl to play.

You don't even read books... yet I take it this is a school project. Kind of sad commentary on our schools.

My last gasp suggestion is Shakespeare.

    Sorry...
I know I am sort of a hard person to talk to...
No it isn't a project... just for a fun day...

I'm back from the dead (with a wink to people who actually read) to suggest Tom Sawyer or Huckleberry Finn.

What about movies? Have you seen any movies you like based on books? Harry Potter for example.

(I didn't mention Harry Potter because I'll bet dollars to donuts that he is taken, or taken too many times in the past.)

Yeah I thought of that, but I don't know many children's books characters. ;)

    When is dress-up day?

If you don't like to read, what do you like? There are characters based on just about every aspect of life. Various cowboys, sports figures, fantasy, science fiction, etc. are available.

Elves can be a good role for a female. Legolas is one example.

If you're 9, then you'd be in about 3rd or 4th grade. After teaching those grades for 15 years, here are some ideas: Flat Stanley, Captain Underpants, any of the boy characters from Andrew Clements books, like "Frindle." You could also choose a male character from the "Little House on the Prairie" series or "The Hardy Boys." What about the "Fudge-a Mania" series?

I haven't seen any movies that I find very good (enouf) to dress up as... other than real girly ones... pony pals.. etc...
Like the idea of hardy boys (but my brother is being that wif his mates)
    Don't know frindle...
Fudge-a-mania is a little bit too little

Dress up day is next week Wednesday
I thought about billy the kid (lucky luke)... all my friends think that is a good idea...
And now they are going to be the daltons, lucky luke, ma Dalton, and clamity jane...
So I thought I might as well just be billy the kids...

Any ideas on what to wear?? Colours?>
    Have any pix??

I read your post as you being in grade nine, not that you're nine years old:

    Quote:

    I am in yr 9
That would make you around 14 years old. Very disturbing that a 14 year old doesn't know how to spell enough:

Since all suggestions have been nixed by you, I'd say you're on your own on this one. Beggars can't be choosers. You're way too picky to help, every suggestion has been turned down. So, figure it out yourself. :)

    That's my advice.

    Good luck.

My 15 year old son, year 10, suggests looking up anime, if you don't like reading conventional books. Most animes are books, and there are many male characters to choose from. You like the young cute boy type? There are tons to choose from in the Anime series.

For instance, Ouran High school, lots of cutsie boys in that series.

Now, that depends on the fun day assignment. Does it have to be from a conventional book, a book that's widely known like the suggestions already made? If not, go anime.

    I am 14 years old...
And yes I do know how to spell 'enough' it is just a quick (slang) way of spelling it! Sorry... that you cant understand slang (or young person words)...

As I said in my previous post... I have chosen to be billy the kid...
    Thank you everyone...

But I asked... Any ideas on what to wear? Colours?
Have any pix that I could copy off?
