I sprained my ankle 7 days ago and it is still very swollen and black and blue. How long should it take to heal?

Have you seen a doctor about it yet?

If it's really a sprain, it could take weeks.

An ankle sprain can easily take 6 weeks to heal.

See a doctor... you could easily have torn ligiments or tendons and it would feel exactly the same... trust me as I've done that as well as having sprained mine on several previous occaisions.

It could even be fractured and that is not something you want to mess with.
