Probably not worse than saying OM 98 times. If this was true, there would be no poor Muslims would there?
But is there any Islamic proof?
What proof says it works or does the Quran say anything about it?
Also what about certain dhikrs?
NO! No proof it is true.
Mi don't think these work. You can recite me for blessing but I don't think they give like money or any desire you want.
Nothing "gives" money aside from a lucrative profession.

First, may I ask, that we stay respectful of another persons faith and religion.
Most things in religion are based on faith. If it could be easily proved, then anyone or everyone would be doing it. If you speak to your religious leader, he may be able to point to a few people, who say, that is how they got their wealth. But also, many who tried and failed. The leaders answer, in all faiths, is that, the person trying, did not do so, with enough faith in the result.
If you want proof, and can not accept in faith, normally a religious leader will tell, you none of it will work for you.
