Kojic-Acid Soap used as Feminine Wash?
A friend asked me if it's okay to also use the kojic-acid soap as her feminine wash?

I'm not quite sure about using kojic-acid soap as feminine wash. I know that it's acidic, so I just advised her to use the right feminine wash for her intimate area like "lactacyd" or "pH Care", since they do have the right amount of acidity and alkalinity (pH Balance) ingredient that would protect and keep the normal flora of the vagina to prevent infection.

Still, I am really curious about her question. Could you please help me?

I hope you could provide me detailed information why if it's okay to be used or why it's NOT appropriate to be used as feminine wash?

    Thank You.

Considering the anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties, I would avoid getting it too intimate with her lady bits. The thing to remember is that the vaginal canal is long so if you wash the front, all the normal flora will be re-introduced afterwards. Is there any particular harm? Probably not.

A good washing with a clean washcloth (not one that has been on your behind) and no scrubbing, is all that is needed. I use neutropenia soap. And absolutely no douching !

Information on this soap is available on Google, which I just googled. I wouldn't use it for tender parts. It is derived from papaya which has exfoliant properties used in skin peels.

And papaya is used in meat tenderizers....

And the vagina is self cleaning. No feminine washes are necessary and will just mess up a woman's natural cleansing ability.
