We bought a switch, replaced the part, turned fan on. Only runs on high, high and off. Did not offer but 1 type of switch. We need the 3 speed switch, but Lowe's did not offer that, and we bought the fan there.

They just did not have thr ight switch in stock, this one won't do what you need. Try Home Depot or an electrical s supply house for an OEM switch that is made for your fan.
