I hope someone can help me...

I currently have bleach blonde hair, but I'm thinking of going a red/auburn colour for the winter as I fancy a change but I'm very undecided as I love my blonde hair. I know if I dye it all over with a permanent auburn colour, I will never be able to get my blonde back if I don't like the outcome of the auburn colour. So I was thinking of putting a wash out dye over my hair that washes out after 6-8 washes (like a semi permanent colour but not as harsh). Will this 1) go the colour I want and 2) will it wash out without my blonde being effected?
I'm very confused on what to do and would appreciate any advice :)

If your hair is bleached and compromised then I would not recommend a wash. Your hair is too 'absorbent' and will turn out a lot darker then you want it to be.
