I was a regular smoker for about a year and I quit April 15. Then I smoked one bowl on may 17. And one more bowl on may 29. I have been completely clean since and I had a hair follicle test using my leg hair today. I am freaking out a little bit just wondering if anyone knows if I might pass or not. Just kind of wanting to prepare and know what to expect

The test is meant to show consistent use...in your case, April would be close to passing at this point to where you probably would....but now you added more since then so you could fail. It will all depend on mhow much was built up in your system I would say. You could pass....

Leg hair really makes it a crap shoot. Sorry. No way to predict because of variances in the rate of growth of leg hair.

Leg/body hair has a longer time frame. Recently the lab I partner with came out with the following statement regarding body hair.

"Body hair is noted as "Body Hair” with no length associated. While body hair is generally acknowledged as representing a more distant time frame than head hair, the approximate time cannot be identified due to the high variability of growth rates and rates of incorporation of drugs. It should also be noted that the donor can impact this time frame through shaving and regrowth of body hair."

I generally tell my customers the time frame is about 9-12 months. If I had to make an educated guess I would give you a 50/50 chance of being negative.

I was wondering if anyone would know why my company would take a urine sample and a hair sample at the same time. What purpose do they have for for testing my urine and my hair

I would guess that the urine is for alcohol and the hair is for drugs.

It was for a pre-employment drug screen. So I'm not sure if it would be for alcohol but I'm not sure

Urine sample would show recent use, hair test would show history... specifically regular, ongoing use.

Anyone know if I am still a temp about to be hired on full time if I fail my test how I will be notified. By the company or the temp service

Will an employer automatically deny you employment if you fail a hair follicle drug test but pass the urine test

We don't know their policies so there is no way we can answer if they will deny you or not.

Urine testing would check short term use (except maybe THC) say 2-4 days depending on the drug whereas hair test would give a longer time frame. Also I guess they really want to cover themselves for company insurance and worker comp insurance.
