    Cylinder 2 misses at idle
I have a 1990 Honda accord compression is 152 in all cylinders, has new injectors, distributor cap, rotor, coil, plugs, wires and spark in all cylinders. It missed at idle on cylinder 2 but it seems to run fine under load. What could be the problem?

What causes an injector not spray on a particular cylinder?
1990 Honda accord injector in cylinder 2 not working when engine is running ?

Bad injector, bad pulse to injector.

    Thoughts:

. Check for intake manifold leaks, using a spray bottle of water while the engine is running.

    . Check valve adjustment.

. Clean IACV, throttle plate, throttle body, and ports.

. Replace PCV Valve and check for hose leaks.

. Check injector wiring and connector. Faulty new injector?

. Faulty Ignition Control Module (ICM)?

. Ensure spark plug wire connections are coated with dielectric grease and fully seated in distributor cap.

. Ensure #2 spark plug wire is centered and seated over plug.

. Coat the porcelain portion of the plugs with dielectric grease. This will help prevent plugs from shorting out.

Did you have the miss before you did all of the work?

Are you sure the injector isn't working or is it something else causing the miss? When I answered the question, I was answering the one that you asked about what will cause an injector to not spray...now there is more to it. If it is the injector for sure, then I would check the wiring to it. It seems more likely though, based on the other added information, that it is more related to something that TxGreaseMonkey mentioned....unless, like I said, you are SURE the injector itself isn't working.

Have you checked for diagnostic codes?
