Malfunctioning Hampton Bay Remote Control Fan
This is a 3 speed fan with an off position. The lights are an upper level and a lower level light banks. Power is hardwired through a wall switch. The fan is currently operating continuously at low speed and in the winter (clockwise) direction. The upper level of lights is on. The remote has a new battery. When operating the remote, the red light comes on when the various buttons are pressed. The fan does not respond to any change on the remote including that the remote will not turn it off. I suspect a deviation in the key switches. My first question is: Can the receiver key switches be accessed with out dismantling the fan? Does the receiver have its own battery? Would appreciate any other trouble-shooting suggestions. Thank you, You can respond by thread or e-mail direct to Bill [email protected]
