I bought a HUD home and found out just before closing that the AC unit had been stolen. I don't know if it's AC or a heat pump? I was wondering from the pictures I have if someone could tell me.

If the unit was stolen, what are the pictures of?

If you have a furnace, either oil or gas, the unit is just an ac. If you have no other heat source the unit would have to be a heat pump.

I see a defrost board in there, it's a heat pump. It looks like suction line has a kink in it, that needs to be repaired.

The first image is from the appraisal. The appraisal was done in March, and I didn't close until yesterday. It was there up until this month some point. The other two images are from when I had last been on the property and reported that someone had tampered with it and took pictures as evidence. Yesterday was the first day I'd seen the house since reporting the tampering. It was a HUD home. I got in trouble for being on the property when I reported it. That is where the pictures are from.
