I agree! As a repair plumber I have never recommended using harsh chemicals. In your drainage system. I would try the Zip-It Drain Cleaning Tool if that will not work, remove the trap under the sink see if you have hair in it clean and install, if no hair then try the snake as Tom says, good luck.
