    I have been given notice to move. But I have until the 10th to move house is a mess do they have the right to show my home before I have moved?

    I am not sure where you live but in Canada they need to give you 24 hour notice before they can show it.

    I agree with Mogrann. Most places can't just bring someone into a place you're renting without giving you ample notice. You also have the right to refuse entry as far as I know.

    Where do you live? Not your address, but your general location, country, state, province?

    Specific laws on this vary by location. Some states in the US have none, or just say that 'reasonable' conditions must be followed by both parties. But I agree that in general, 24 hours must be given. Reasonable showings might be 5 times a week during daylight hours. Open houses would not be reasonable.

    If you have to move by the 10th, anyone would have to assume that the house is a mess, but also that you are starting to pack and getting rid of things. I would stack a few boxes in each room, and start now taking stuff to Goodwill or the trash.

    Check your lease. It probably states that have the right to enter with reasonable notice. So the answer is most likely yes, they can show it with reasonable notice.
