I work at a grocery store and sometimes I'm on the check stand. Given the type of environment I work in, I'm nice to everyone and ask them how their day is. Yesterday I was on the check stand and a pretty girl with dark black hair and black glasses to match come though. I give her the "hello how are you today." She answers "great. How about you". I tell her "pretty good." Now this is where the conversation gets interesting for her next are "just pretty good. Nothing exciting has happened." Smiling as she talks. At this point I wondering what her game was but played it safe by assuming she was just a outgoing person and gave her a simple answer of "nothing exciting but nothing bad either." What was in my head was "nothing exciting till you arrived." I comment the bag of fun sized candy and jokingly ask if I can have one. We continue to talk for a short while more including her plans to bribe her nephew with the candy she bought. Before she leaves she holds up the bag of candy and ask if I really wanted one. I thank her but decline the candy and wish her a nice day. Was she just an out going person as I assumed or was she flirting with me.

Just an outgoing person!

Sounds like and outgoing friendly person.

Why assume since you know nothing about her. She was friendly so leave it at that.

Should I have made the moves on her by saying what I was thinking or would it have came off too strong.

You don't make the moves on a customer while you're working. That is tacky and I'd fire you if you were working for me.
