    A plumbing question.
I'm putting new cabinets in my bathroom. I have only 54" to work with. I have found three cabinets that combine to add up to 54" and fulfill my needs. The problem is, if I center the lavatory in it's cabinet, the lavatory drain will come out about three to three and a half inches to the right of the existing drain line where it exits the wall. The existing pipe seems to adjust to fit into the drain, but will this small adjustment slow drainage or be prone to clogs?

If the trap will move over enough to make a connection it WILL NOT slow down your drainage. Good luck, Tom
