    Can you use a standard Blk. Nipple to cap a flared end? I noticed it at a house & It doesn't seem to fit properly

    If by "flared end" you're talking about a flared copper pipe the answer is NO!
    You can install a flared plug or cut the flare out and solder on a cap. Good luck, Tom
