Every time we run the taps or have a shower, or even shortly after flushing the toilet water starts running in thew toilet, any ideas would be helpful.

Lift the lid and watch the float ball while someone opens and closes a cold water tap. Dose the float ball bounce up and down allowing the ballcock to run? Let me know, back to you, Tom
