4 months ago I just lost my mother. Due to my mom service my mother's friends decide bring up secret about my father, the man I thought was my father who also passed away years ago when I was a young girl they told me this man they knew is my dad.

I'm angry. 30 years of my life has been a lie. I have his first name but not his last name. I don't know what to do, where to look. I'm confused. I have a four year old son. He has a grandpa out there somewhere. I'm in so much pain. Lost my mom, father out there.

No,, your father, that raised you, is your father, and your child's grandfather.

Even if what they said was true... your mom's friends may be wrong.

Even so, if your mom wanted you to know, she would have told you. If this man, had ever wanted anything to do with you... he would have told you.

So you have a man, ( if he is real) that your mom did not want to see, did not want you to know about. ( consider respecting her wishes) and a man, who does not want to see you or know you either.

So you find a man, who may spit at you and curse you..? Make you feel better then ? Most reunions do not happen like you see on TV reunion shows.

With that said.. no with just a first name, and a lot of talk from old people, there is no way to even start.

Maybe you could ask questions of the people who say you have a biological father for details. Search for any old letters, documents, paper work that your mother had saved a put away to conseal your father's identity. Find out if she had an attorney years ago, and if he did any work for her. Ask your aunts, uncles, grandparents, friends of your mother's years ago, that she knew she was seeing your father. Good luck in finding your father.
