A bullet of mass 10g is horizontally fired with a velocity 100m/s from a gun of mass 10 kg. With what linear momentum will the gun move backward?

Hint: think conservation of momentum. Prior to the bullet being fired, the system of bullet + gun has zero momentum. So after the bullet is fired the sum of momentum of bullet + gun must still be zero. Can you finish it from here?
