Assalamu alaikum,

How to calculate zakath and what is the Nisab value.

Please clarify my doubts below.

1. Me and my wife have 150 grams of gold (not each). Then our zakath would be (a) or (b) (assuming 80 gram is Nisab) ?

(a) 150 -( Nisab for both ) 80+80 = -10 grams --> so No Zakath
(b) 150 - 80 (even we are two persons nisab as 80) = 70 ---> so 70x2.5% to pay Zakath
