    Reversing a lathe
I have a Dayton 1/2 horse motor with the following leads:
P1, P2, T2, T3, T4, T5 and T8. I want to install a drum switch on it, but can not figure out the wiring sequence.
    Can anyone help me please?

I am new to this posting thing, but here is an example of a 120 volt motor with drum switch arrangement. Check wiring against yours!

I will try to do some research and find an exact match. Some motors the "P" leads are klixon leads or motor overtemp leads. In this case it might be they are the source power leads which would be more logical. See if you can make sense of what you have with one of these motors and get back. Good luck.

Switching 5 & 8 seems to be the norm.
