Blew the reset button on outside gfi. Now all outside outlets don't work. Replaced the gfi. Still won't rrset but light is on. Rewired the new one exactly like the old one. Wired it in to the screws. No power getting to other outside outlets.

The light can signal 2 things, power on or no power depending on brand. Have you tried measuring voltages? Reversed hot and neutral? Ground touching something? Power is into "Line"? Other lights and outlets into "Load"?
Light on means power according to info it came with. Ground not touching anything. Don't have volt meter so haven't measured voltage.Wired it identical to the one I took out which worked fine before I tripped the reset.None of the other outside outlets have power.
Solved the problem.
Thanks for the input.
And the problem was?
Yeah, wajoh, let us all learn from this experience.
And the problem was " too embarrassing to mention" Haven't we all done that before?
