    Resident Alien or Non Resident Alien
    Hi,

    I am on a H1 Visa from 28th Nov. 2006.
    My wife joined me here on a H4 Visa on 13th march 2007 and ahe will be returning back on 30th April 2007.
    Please let me know if she will be considered as a resident alien or non resident alien for the tax year of 2007.

    Yes, she CAN be considered as a resident alien if you file jointly with her on your 2006 tax return and you BOTH explicitly make that choice.
