Have a 42 year old Emerson 2 speed(bad bearing) replacing it with Dalton single speed are there extra components for the duel speed that must be disconnected for the single speed to work? I wired the Dalton per the motor diagram blk and purple to line 1 and line 2 via a thermal over load device and two brown wires to new cap bought with the motor, the old cap was also connected to line 2 directly, I reconnected it to new cap, motor did not work and the thermal overload smoked not sure what to do now, need help.
