I have a problem with my washing machine pipe and there seems to be a clog in the drain. The strange thing is my kitchen sink pipe isn't connected to the pipe but it goes in the same pipe as the washing machine. Have no idea what is causing this but read something's that it could be a sewer problem? Help here please

what you find strange about that? If you are on a septic system that is the way we rough in our drainage. Does the sink gurgle or make a noise when the washer drains? It sounds like all you need to do is snake the line from the washer roof vent but before I come up with a final solution I would like to know all the facts. Back to you, Tom

Thank you speedball, I have a city sewer system. Just noticed the pipe getting high with water and every time I do dishes the water goes into the washing machine pipe. Don't know much about plumbing so I am pretty clueless on how it works but used some drano and some high use professor amos clearing stuff and it is just sitting in there. Have no clue how I should take care of this or if it is a possible sewer problem

if you are saying that every time the dishwasher discharges it comes other the top of the washer standpipe? If so, you have a blockage downstream from the kitchen. Your solution would be to snake the kitchen roof vent. Put out enough snake to reach the base and 15 more feet. Is there a problem when the washer discharges? Let me know how you make out.
