    Pump Problem
We have a rural block. Submersible pump from the ground to a 30,000 litre holding tank . This flows to a pump house where a small pump pumps water to the irrigation system and to the house. House is only 9 years old. We have suddenly lost pressure to the showers and all other appliances and taps inside the house. The pump is working but seems to lose pressure when it gets to 60psi then on getting down to 40psi it cuts in again. The pressure bladder tank has 40psi in it. I have isolated the house off and checked for any leaks inside the house and there is none. I am guessing we have a leak in the pipes from the pump house to the house. How do we find this. All this has happened soon after the whole system being serviced. We have always had fantastic pressure and now it dribbles. The company that laid all the pipes for the whole place do not keep any plans of the pipes layout which is very frustrating and unprofessional. I am told the leak could be in a direct line from the pump house to the house or even out in the paddocks where the irrigation system is. I have no way of telling. Its looks like digging up the ground from the pump house and following the underground lines is the only way to find a leak if this is why the pressure has dropped. HELP any ideas? Carl

Hi carios6212 and welcome to the plumbing page atANHD. You have piggybacked on an old dead thread so I'm giving you one of your own. When the pump cuts off does the pressure gage drop to zero? Back to you. Tpm
