    Long period after depo?
My depo shot expired April 15th, my period started May 18th and hasn't stopped. Is this normal? How long should I bleed before seeing a doctor and can they do anything? Im trying to stay away from birth controls as I want to conceive.

What is the level of bleeding?

Depo is a very effective birth control, so much so that it can take over a year for it to be out of your system and be able to conceive. Seeing your doctor at this point would probably be a good idea. I know the withdrawl symptoms for Depo can be a bit on the brutal side.

I know it can take a long time I just was hoping not to bleed for a year haha. Some days are worse then others just like a normal period it just doesn't stop. Its been a flow though, not just spotting, which sucks and is getting expensive having to buy tampons every week or so.

AT this point I would go to your doctor. You're not in the Dangerous bleeding zone, IE a Pad a hour, but you're at serious risk of anemia at this point.

I didn't even think about that, which I should have considering I've already been anemic.
