Is this a one handle or a two knob shower valve? Back to you, Tom

Replacing the shower head will not present a shower valve from leaking. If you have replaced the stem and washer assembly and you still have a leak then take your fingernail and run it around the seat. If you feel nicks or rough spots the valve is bad and must be replaced. Good luck, Tom

You purchase a new shower valve, open up the wall behind the valve and simply replace the fittings and the valve. You are going to need tools and plumbing skills to do this. Do you need further instructions? Back to you, Tom
