I have a Toro GTS-XL. The battery will crank the engine but won't start the mower. I have to crank the engine for a little while then use the pull rope. Any idea why the battery won't start the mower?

I gather this is the Suzuki engine, but the 5 digit model number would be of assistance, as well as the first digit of the serial. Some had manual chokes and some had automatic ones. Saw a different brand once some years ago that had many people scratching their collective heads untile the bottom of the ring gear on the flywheel was found to be burred. Different brand of machine and engine, however.
