If wires are crossed will the light still work
I replaced a flood light. When I turn the switch the light comes on, but it's very dim. Any suggestions, please?

    Thanks,

    Jim

Who knows? It is impossible to tell without knowing exactly how you wired it.
I will say, if it truly is coming on dim that is not a good thing. You did something very wrong. Not sue how simply replacing a light would cause this though.
Again, you need to tell us exactly what wires are in the box and exactly how you wired the fixture.

If you had more than two wires to choose from, one of them is most likely wrong.
Or you somehow managed to wire it in series. Anything else on that circuit behaving wrong now?

Missouri bound, there is a ceiling light and two wall outlets on the line and they are working fine. I'll go back and double check the flood light. Thanks,
