    Shower metal strip
Hi, I have just gotten my tiles laid and they have put in a metal strip about 25mm by 25mm L shape. The tile sit on top and creates a barrier against the water. I am wondering if it is suppose to be a couple of mm above the tile finish or flush with the top of the tiles thanks

That one inch strip sounds like a threshold. Do you have a shower door or a shower curtain? Back to you, Tom

    Hi Nate

I know what Tom is thinking, but I'm pretty sure you are talking about a metal tile trim piece (see image...except yours is "L-shaped" like you said). In most cases, these tile trim pieces sit FLUSH with the tile, or people could trip on them, right?

With that being said, you said, "The tile sit on top and creates a barrier against the water". Can you explain what this means? The meaning could change my answer entirely!!

    Back to you...
