Worried about an EtG test please help
So Friday night I drank maybe an 8 - 12 oz glass of 12% red wine from 8pm_12am. I have been sober for 15 months and had it with dinner. I got a surprise EtG test today and took it this morning. I am freaking out. Did I fail?

Its going to be close... that "glass" of wine ( wine is rarely ever served in glasses that big, that's like 2 or 3 wine glasses of wine usually 4 oz per serving) is the same as having 3-4 regular beers.

You might pass or you might fail.....I think the odds are more tilted towards a fail, but thats only a guess.

The ETG test can usually detect consumption from about 60-80 hours before the test is taken. You're skating on the 55hr line. With the amount you said you drank you probably have good odds of passing but I wouldn't be surprised if you failed. You said that you were 15 months sober and than has between 2-3 glasses to drink. What caused you to fall off the wagon? Especially after 15 months? What happens if the test comes back positive?

No one can predict your result. Here a couple of links regarding that amount of intake.

Well I thought I'd be okay no consequences and I regret it after discussing it with my girlfriend I can say that 8 to 12 oz was a very over exaggerated number. I took a few sips here and the of her glass totally mayyybbeee 4 oz and consequences are dire

If you did not drink anymore than 4-8oz total, you should definitely pass.

It was definitely close to 4 oz and no where's near 8 oz I was over exaggerating. I never drank a glass and just took a few sips off my girlfriends in the course of 3 or 4 hours and ate dinner and ice cream with it

It's been 5 days since the test was taken with no word I assume I passed. Never taking that chance again. I'm glad my slip didn't have any consequences. But certainly not worth the stress

That is the first step. Continue and you will be well on the path. Good luck!
